PRAY FOR HAITI – February 2019

Pray With Us – February 2019

How great the love You have lavished on us, Father, that we should be called Your children. And that is what we are!  (1 John 3:1)

Praise God for the container shipment arriving in Peredo! Over $100,000 in donated supplies (surgical and other) are now available for ministry use in Haiti. We are grateful to FAME, IDES, Lifeline, TECH partners, and individuals who made this happen!

Praise God for the annual Seguin Feast of the Harvest! What a blessing it is to see the Christian community worshipping God with the first fruits of their harvest, to bless God and bless others!

Praise God for a great trip for our Board of Directors in January! We experienced some amazing things together, visited many of our ministry locations, prayed for God’s direction, and discussed future plans. We are thankful for this dedicated group of leaders!

Praise God for our January teams! So much progress was made and the teams from 2|42 Community Church (MI), Northside CC (OH), Rocklane CC (IN), Eastside CC (OR) had great weeks, meeting sponsored children, advancing construction projects, providing medical care, and learning what God is doing through HCO’s ministry.

Praise God for babies that continue to be born at PCH! We are honored to get to help welcome these precious little ones to the world!

Praise God for continued progress in Belle Anse and Peredo on construction projects! The hospital now has windows, sinks, and air conditioning in the surgical suite. It’s exciting to see these long-term projects move forward, getting closer to completion.

Praise God for Mike Schreiber who ran a 50-mile race in January! Mike ran from Port-au-Prince to nearly Jacmel, set a new course record, and raised support and awareness for our Emmanuel Christian Schools. We are inspired by his dedication, spirit, and fundraising efforts!

Praise God for increased church support! We received such encouraging words this week: “[Our church] continues to grow.  As our numbers increase, so does the appropriation we are given each month from the congregation. The decision…is to increase our support to you.” Thank you, Lord, for the growth of this church!

May we reflect Your image in all we do, Lord, as you are compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love! (Ps. 103:8)

Pray for the digital X-ray shipment to arrive and training to happen before March 2. We are so grateful that God has provided the funds for this much-needed equipment, and we trust Him to guide the timing so that it can be installed on schedule!

Pray for final funding for the surgical center and continued construction. We are scheduled to install flooring in early March. Our first surgical team arrives April 6.

Pray for the construction of the church building in Belle Anse. May the faith of the congregation grow exponentially as they work toward the completion of the building.

Pray for churches to host Child Sponsorship Days in 2019. We are asking new and partner churches to provide time for people to connect with our school children through sponsorship this year!

Pray for our February 2019 teams. Teams will continuing to help with construction on the surgical wing of PCH. We have groups coming from Orrville CC (OH), and First Christian Church (IL). May they share the hope and joy of life with Christ!

Pray for our partner church, Christian Church of Panama City (FL), as they continue to recover from Hurricane Michael. “Our minister and our elders… put in countless hours working, visiting, and praying. Our area is showing distinct signs of mass PTSD. People are on edge and anger is growing as we all battle with insurance and for daily supplies. Our homes are broken, molding, and leaking… many people feel a general despair. We sincerely need your prayers.” Please remember all of those who are still cleaning up and trying to move on from this disaster!

Continue to pray for the Haitian economy. Due to the ongoing political situation, inflation, and a sharp depreciation of the gourde, things are difficult for many Haitians. In addition, ministry dollars have a limited reach due to increasing prices.

And pray with us for Every Child this month:
