PRAY FOR HAITI – October 2019

“I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, his works are perfect and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.” (Deuteronomy 32:3-4)

Praise God for all 47 of our 12th-grade students from Emmanuel Christian Schools passing their government exams! What an accomplishment for these young people.

Praise God for the church revival in Kapotyer and for the men and women who made a decision to follow Christ! We are so thankful for the bold leaders of the Church in Haiti.

Praise God for our faithful partners who made it possible for RoRo and Eline to distribute shoes and clothing to more than 300 families in Peredo.

Praise God for the construction that continues at the new school in Grand Bois. This project creates employment and will allow for more children to attend school through sponsorship.

Praise God for the provision of a new well in Cotes de Fer. Families now have access to clean water.

“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” (Matthew 6:6)

Pray for God to send a group of young people passionate about the work of HCO to serve in Peredo as 2020 summer interns. Pray God would be molding and preparing them for a summer of great growth and service.

Pray for RoRo, Eline, and the community of Peredo to be the light that radiates throughout SE Haiti! “The Light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)

Pray for the many patients who come to Peredo Community Hospital each day to receive help and healing. May they find peace and comfort in Jesus and feel safe and loved through the dedicated hospital staff.

Continue to pray for the Haitian people, spiritually, politically and economically as the most recent fuel shortage has sparked tensions to rise. Please pray for our brothers and sisters who call Haiti home and live in these circumstances on a daily basis. “Pray of the peace of Jerusalem (Haiti); ‘May those you love be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.’ For the sake of my family and friends, I will say ‘Peace be within you.’ For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.” (Psalm 122:6-9)

And pray with us for Every Child this month:
