Bringing Good News
“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
RoRo and I were talking about this verse recently as we sped down the beach road headed towards Jacmel. The sun was beautiful and the ocean displayed the glory of the Lord! We were headed to meet up with Pastor Cenoza (pastor of Emmanuel Christian Church of Belle Anse) and his friend, Henderson. Though I’ve traveled through Jacmel many, many times, I never realized how many homes and people were tucked in the mountain, off the main road, until that moment. Homes of 5 to 10 people each are stacked up the mountainside, one on top of another.
As we pulled over in front of some homes, Pastor Cenoza and Henderson made introductions. Right away, RoRo began talking intently with an older lady, Madam Saintil, about God, repentance, and baptism. Madam Saintil is Catholic. But, she has attended a Christian Church from time to time and said she enjoys the worship and teaching. All of her children have became Christian and now worship in evangelical churches. But, not Madam Saintil. She told RoRo: “No one can know for sure where they will go (when they die).”
RoRo continued to share with her, her friends, and her family. As we loaded in the vehicles and said our goodbyes, RoRo shared more about the Good News with Madam Saintil with a promise to return for more conversation.
Romans 10 says, “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!””
The Good News is being proclaimed through the life and ministry of RoRo Eustache and HCO as conversations like this happen often! Please pray for RoRo as he continues personal evangelism. And pray for those to whom RoRo speaks – may their hearts and minds be ready to receive the words of Truth he shares with them!
