Every so often, a story lands in our inbox that reminds us exactly why we do what we do. Recently, we received a heartfelt message from one of our former students, Emanise Pierre, and her journey is a powerful testament to what classroom sponsorship makes possible.

A Childhood Full of Potential — and Barriers

In 2008, Emanise finished her primary education at Emmanuel Christian School in Séguin. She was gifted, dedicated, and full of dreams. But like many children in rural Haiti, her future was uncertain. Her mother didn’t have the financial means to send her to the city to continue her schooling. Despite her academic talent, higher education seemed beyond reach.

A Door Opens

At that life-changing moment, God used Pastor RoRo to step into Emanise’s story. He took her in, provided for her secondary education, and gave her the opportunity she needed to keep going.

The foundation laid in that small classroom in Séguin became the first stepping stone in a journey that would continue far beyond what any of us could have imagined.

A Future Transformed

Today, Emanise is entering her Master’s Program in Diplomacy and International Cooperation — a milestone she once believed was impossible.

In her letter to us, she shared gratitude for the support she received and reflected on how many children with her same potential will never have the opportunity she did. She prayed that God would bless Pastor RoRo and “multiply his impact through others so that the weakest among us may find a way out.”

Her story is not just about academic success.
It’s about dignity.
It’s about hope.
It’s about breaking cycles of poverty through education and God’s grace.
