Intern Job Description

Position Title: US-Based Internships (multiple opportunities available)
Location: Remote
Status: Year-round internship opportunities available
Reports to: Director of Development and Executive Director

Works closely with the US Team

This person will:

  • Begin this work from a position of prayer, seeking and following God’s will, praying for our ministry and the work we do to expand God’s Kingdom.
  • Serve from a position of humility in relationship to RoRo and Eline Eustache, making their vision of doing something for Haiti that will last a priority. 
  • Strive to ensure classroom sponsors, donors, trip members, and potential sponsors/partners are empowered, equipped, and encouraged.
  • Provide ongoing updates to the Executive Director and Director of Development
  • Represent HCO in a God-honoring manner in his/her personal life and HCO work, including emails, phone calls, and online posts.
  • Prepare for and/or lead projects (i.e. gather supplies, tools, create/implement a plan to lead project).
  • Research new information per department
  • Share and/or present data in appropriate format
  • Prioritize and develop relationships by showing compassion, using active listening skills, and being socially perceptive.
  • Work independently and in groups.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and solve problems creatively with limited resources.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with staff.
  • Participate in staff meetings and individual team meetings.
  • Have a clear understanding of and commitment to HCO’s mission and vision.
  • Clearly express a calling to help do something in Haiti that will last!

Required education and experience:

  • At least 18 years old and graduated from high school.
  • Preferred education: at least first year of undergraduate
