Leading with Humility: The Impact of Pastor Jaqueline
In the years following the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Haiti faced unimaginable loss. Buildings were destroyed, communities were shaken, and many left searching for direction and hope. It was during this time that a connection was made. One that would go on to shape the work of Haitian Christian Outreach in a lasting way.
RoRo first heard of Pastor Jaqueline after the earthquake. At the time Jaqueline was a Bible college student in Port-au-Prince, studying at Christianville. When the earthquake destroyed the school, his path forward became uncertain. Someone told Ro about his story, and the two were then introduced.
Pastor Jaqueline was originally from northern Haiti, but RoRo brought him to Jacmel, where he was given the opportunity to continue his biblical education at a local Bible college. RoRo and Eline supported him during this time, investing not only in his education, but in his calling.
Even as a student, Jaqueline didn’t wait to step into ministry. While studying, he began serving in Peredo, getting involved in the work on the ground. On weekends, RoRo would take him along to evangelize in surrounding areas—training him, pouring into him, and walking alongside him in ministry.
From the beginning, something stood out. He was humble and served willingly. Qualities in his character that foreshadowed the kind of leader he would become.
After graduating, Pastor Jaqueline officially stepped into ministry with Haitian Christian Outreach. What started as a calling began to grow into leadership.

He first planted and pastored the church in Peredo, laying a foundation for what would become a thriving part of the ministry. Over time, his responsibilities expanded. He began overseeing the churches, and today, his role has grown even further.
As of this year, Pastor Jaqueline now oversees the churches, the schools, and the hospital in Haiti.
His leadership didn’t happen overnight—it was built overtime, through faithfulness and a willingness to serve wherever he was needed.

Pastor Jaqueline is deeply respected within the community, and not just because of his position, but because of how he lives. He doesn’t just preach the Gospel, he lives it out daily.
He visits the sick. He walks alongside families in seasons of grief and loss. He cooks meals for others and helps serve alongside women in the community, meeting everyday needs like cleaning and laundry. Something that goes against traditional expectations in Haitian culture, yet reflects his heart to serve in any way he can.

The impact of pastor Jaqueline’s leadership is felt across every part of the ministry. But with impact comes weight.
The needs in the community are great and growing. While the area he serves is currently safe, the demand continues to increase, and meeting every need is not always possible. Like many leaders, he carries the responsibility of making decisions, guiding others, and reminding his team that the work is shared.
