Keeping Our Eyes on the Lord

“Despite the rough times the country is currently going through, we are experiencing the mighty Hands of God at work! Babies are being born, the sick are being healed and souls are being saved! Thank you for your faithful prayers and partnership. Please continue to pray for the country.”  (RoRo and Eline)
It would be easy to simply hunker down and wait for the situation in Haiti to calm, but not for those who have been called to this mission. Despite their physical exhaustion, RoRo and Eline remain strong in their faith, keeping their eyes on the Lord. In the midst of the country’s current situation, they are hard at work fulfilling the command Jesus gave us all: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength…Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:30-3). In addition to working long hours alongside the hospital staff, RoRo and Eline continue to serve and speak in the local churches; provide for those in need by the distribution of clothes and shoes, and attend the baptisms of those who are being saved by Jesus Christ! Praise be to our God, the only one bigger than our circumstances! Rejoice!
.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore, my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body will also rest secure…” (Psalm 16:8-9)
