When the Church Becomes the Hands and Feet of Jesus

What does it look like when the Church becomes the hands and feet of Jesus?

Sometimes, it looks like a meal.

Sometimes, it looks like a pastor caring for someone who is hurting.

Sometimes, it looks like a church showing up for a family in need when no one else will.

Across Haiti, local churches are doing more than gathering for worship. They are caring for the people around them—and showing the love of Jesus in tangible ways.

Faith That Shows Up

The Haitian churches we partner with understand that ministry doesn’t stop when the service ends.

When people are hungry, the Church responds.

When families are struggling, the Church comes alongside them.

When students need support, the Church helps.

And when someone feels forgotten, the Church reminds them that they are seen and loved.

This is what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Through HCO’s partnerships with Haitian Christians and local churches, we have the opportunity to come alongside this ministry and help provide practical needs for people in the communities they serve.

More Than Meeting a Need

A meal can fill an empty stomach. But it can also open a door to share the Gospel. A helping hand can meet an immediate need. But it can also remind someone that they are not alone.

When the Church serves people in tangible ways, it creates opportunities to share something even greater—the hope we have in Jesus.

That’s why this Giving Tuesday matters.

You Can Help the Church Show Up

This Giving Tuesday, December 1, we are inviting you to join us for Hope & Healing: Because Every Life Matters. Your gift can help provide food for families, students, churches, and prisoners who may otherwise go without.

Will you give today to help the Church be the hands and feet of Jesus?

Your generosity doesn’t just provide a meal. It helps empower Haitian Christians to care for their communities, meet real needs, and share the hope of Christ. Give this Giving Tuesday and help someone know they are seen, loved, and not forgotten. Because when the Church becomes the hands and feet of Jesus, hope becomes something people can see.
