PRAY FOR HAITI – AUGUST 2022

Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him. Luke 5:5-11

Praise God for all of our Emmanuel Christian Church Pastors. God has placed a specific calling on each one to cast their nets out into the communities sharing the Gospel and change lives. God, thank you for your faithfulness to these Pastors as you continue to provide for their needs as they do Your work.

Praise God for summer break! A time for teachers and students to enjoy some time away from the classroom to renew and recharge.

God we PRAISE You for Peredo Community Hospital. Thank you for providing for the many medical needs as our very talented Doctors, Nurses, and Staff serve the southeast of Haiti to a population of 1 million people. God, may you be given ALL the Glory for the medical miracles that are happening at our hospital. “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16

Please continue to pray for our Haitian brothers and sisters, as their country is held hostage during their current situation. Pray for the chain supply of goods and food as the roads are blocked by the gangs fighting for territory. God, provide this country and Your people. We pray for the stability of their country to be regained. We pray for wisdom over the leadership and safety, security, and restoration of the country.

Pray For RoRo and Eline as they are being the hands and feet of Jesus during this time of turmoil in Haiti. God, continue to show them Your light, Glory, and faithfulness as they continue to do something in Haiti that will last.

Pray for the students during their summer break. For their minds to be refreshed and renewed during this well deserved break. God, watch over each and every student and guide them in all that they do throughout the summer.

Pray for the sports evangelism program that we have running each weekend. We have over 50 kids at the Peredo campus that are learning not only sports drills, but leadership skills and being mentored under JoJo. This gives us a chance to evangelize to each of these kids and keep them off the streets away from the gangs.

Yes, I pray for all these things every morning. I pray that Christ’s Church in Haiti will teach the gangs and turn them into street preachers.
