Praying For Emmanuel Christian School Teachers
The 2019-2020 school year has been extremely difficult for our 6 Emmanuel Christian Schools. The school year did not begin on time as the Haitian government faced criticism for a shortage of fuel. In a society where diesel fuel is needed to cook, run generators and operate most businesses and homes, the shortage and lack of transparency from government officials caused many to take to the streets in protest. Because of the civil unrest, most schools did not officially begin until January. Only a few months later, the country had its first reported case of COVID-19 and schools were once again closed.
Throughout our 6 Emmanuel Christian Schools there are over 1,600 students and 141 dedicated teachers and staff. Although Haiti is not unfamiliar with crisis and uncertainty, it has been especially difficult for our teachers this year. RoRo recently met with our Superintendant of Schools and Principles to offer encouragement. Educated children are the future of Haiti and therefore our teachers play a crucial role in the life of each child who attends school.
We are grateful for our dedicated teachers and staff who work through hardship and uncertainty to educate their students. Will you join us in praying for our teachers?
Pray for Emmanuel Christian School Teachers:
- Pray for the health and safety of all ECS Teachers and their families.
- Pray for God’s provision for all ECS Teachers as they wait for school to resume.
- Pray for ECS Teachers to find strength through their faith in Christ and lean on His promises.
- Pray ECS Teachers will be encouraged as they face new challenges and opportunities.

Thank you for the wonderful photos of the schools, students and teachers in action. It thrills my heart, as a retired teacher, to see how the teachers are supporting the Christian education in HCO’s schools. I pray for all daily that you all will stay healthy and life can return to a new normal soon. God bless.
