Belle Anse Church Building Progress
The full realization of a dream can take some time. RoRo first visited the community of Belle Anse when he was a young teenager. When he became a Christian as a young man, his heart was always hurting for the place where he had first witnessed the evil of voodoo worship. One year ago, his dream of planting a church there came true when HCO hosted a week-long revival and launched Emmanuel Christian Church of Belle Anse. We’ve loved being able to tell the story of God’s goodness in this community.
Many of our short-term teams have visited Belle Anse, some attending the revivals or church services, some providing much-needed health care through mobile clinics, and several helping with the foundation for the church building and building relationships.
This fall, our construction crew has made great progress on the church building. They’ve laid a lot of block, started stucco work, and have been running electricity. As you check out these photo updates, please pray with us for the continued work:
- May the light of Jesus Christ spread throughout the community as they watch this structure grow.
- May the church members be encouraged in their faith, to grow in maturity and to share the good news with great joy to all those around them.
- May the church leaders serve with wisdom as they nurture this new body of believers to be light in the darkness of their community.
- May the construction workers find safety and success as they put the physical elements of this building together.
